For years she has been involved in various groups and organizations against racism. Through her work in the “Initiative 6. April” she is in close contact with the parents of Halit Yozgat, who was murdered by the NSU on 6. April 2006.
Ayşe Güleç is regarded as one of the initiators of the NSU Tribunal. She has been active for many years against racism and violence. As an important figure within the migrant community, she acts as a hub for many of the families affected by the NSU. Her political activism as well as her directness and openness in dealing with their fellow human beings manifest themselves both in her everyday actions and in her organisation and participation in numerous events throughout Germany.
